Assignment 2 - Design Your Own Country
EMPATHY
In this stage, designers gather information, conduct research, and gain insights into the problem they are trying to solve or the opportunity they are trying to address. This may involve market research, user interviews, surveys, and analysis of existing solutions.
DEFINE
Once sufficient information has been gathered, the next step is to clearly define the problem or opportunity. This involves synthesizing the research findings to identify the key challenges or needs that the design will address. It's important to establish clear goals and objectives for the design project during this stage.
IDEATION - Map / Flag
This stage is all about generating ideas and exploring potential solutions to the problem defined in the previous stage. Designers brainstorm, sketch, and prototype different concepts, often using techniques like brainstorming sessions, sketching exercises, or design workshops to foster creativity and innovation.
PROTOTYPE - Map / Flag
Prototyping involves creating tangible representations of design concepts to test and iterate upon. Prototypes can range from low-fidelity sketches or wireframes to high-fidelity interactive mockups or prototypes. The goal is to quickly validate ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.
PRESENT
Once a design has been refined based on testing and evaluation, it is ready for presentation. This stage involves translating the final design into a finished product or solution, which may involve collaboration with developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design is implemented effectively.
