ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN I

This module aims to introduce basic understanding of the architectural design elements and principles, processes, and approaches in generating ideas, developing design, creating geometric 2D artworks (tattoo stamp) and transform them into 3D form (model), with the title of Expressions through Architecture Design Elements and Principles.

Project 1: Geometry and Form: Architectural Design Elements & Principles

 

This project aims to introduce basic understanding of the architectural design elements and principles, processes, and approaches in generating ideas, developing design, creating geometric 2D artworks (tattoo stamp) and transform them into 3D form (model), with the title of Expressions through Architecture Design Elements and Principles.

Project 2: Structure and Body: Materials, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration- 1: 1 Bamboo Installation at University Square, Taylor’s University, a collaboration with Taylor’s Me.reka Makerspace

 

This project's objective was to design a shading structure and space for university students’ activities which is to be located at University Square, Taylor’s University. Students will explore construction details, joinery, and structural quality and how the selected materials work together.

Project 3: Space and Sensory: Self - Exploration through Spaces

 

In project 3, look back at the shading structure in Project 2 and further develop it to a Sensory Space. The Sensory Space should ignite a sensorial experience as a first-year student in university.
